VHD vol3 Sketches by FreakingArG VHD vol3 Sketches by FreakingArG
I had drawn these sketches a few months ago after reading the third Vampire Hunter D book, "Demon Deathchase". Volume 3 is probably better recognized by it's movie release as "Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust", but much like the first movie, the book is quite different.
I personally was never that big a fan of Bloodlust, but I really liked the original story. Much darker and really seemed to do a better job of gripping it's reader.

I posted this now because ~E1L0n3wy wanted to see my take on the group.

She also let me know that volume three of the VHD manga was just released. Grr... Really wish I had more money so I could go out and get it. I'm really curious to see the artist's take on the characters' designs. Oh well.

Oh can you do one for The Rose Princess? An interesting take on the characters, especially Leila since the Manga really has her shown differently. Poor little Grove as well.

Bloodlust is a personal favorite of mine, simply because of the animation being superb. That and I can never have too much D ^^;

As for the book I found it one of my least favorites, simply because of how horrid the Marcus brothers were as people. The plot is great but I really didn't give a damn about Leila's brothers at all. The Barbarois mutants were much more interesting though! The manga is worth getting too! The character designs aren't too shabby either (and of course D looks awesome) and it actually made me like that story more than the novel did~

Bloodlust actually never really appealed to me as much as the first movie. The animation was absolutely beautiful, but there just wasn't much in the movie that pulled me into it.
Though on the contrary I did really like the book. I felt that it was much easier to understand and care about the characters in the book.
That's just my opinion of course.
