Well in case you haven't been paying attention, I've spent the past year in preparation to head out for the Air Force and tomorrow I head out for basic training.
It's so weird.. despite having worked so hard and having spent so much time in preparation for this moment, it feels so very surreal to finally be at the edge of it all. I sorta worry that I'm not ready, but I have a feeling that there would never really be a time where I FEEL ready. I started this mission in February and have managed to drop 60+ pounds and get in pretty good shape. Funny to think how very different my life was before I began moving towards this decision.
I assure you all, I'm excited about what the future holds for me, but I'm scared as hell at the same time. I've been fighting a lot of anxiety and stress over the subject so I almost wouldn't be terribly surprised if basic training wasn't as bad as I keep imagining it will be.
I'm going to be in basic training for 8 weeks and then I'll be sent to tech school to learn how to do my job (which I'm still clueless as to what will be). There's no telling how long tech school will be, but I intend to buy a laptop as soon as I can so I can catch up with everything and everyone.

I wish I had more sage like words to leave you all with, but it really just is what it is.
